if u lower it. it will take more time to warm up-
        see better adjustments below>

        u can disable Sleep Mode/
        COPIER>OPTION>BODY>SLPOFF01 to SLPOFF12
Use it to disable sleep mode.

SLPOFF01 to 12 (Used to turn sleep mode OFF as way to eliminate condensation: January to December.) pick a month 1>12

Whenever possible, avoid using these above settings during normal operation.

        Or under Level 1 =COPIER>OPTION<USER>SLEEP
Used to turn auto sleep function ON/OFF.

        Settings=
        0: OFF
1: ON (value at time of factory shipment/value after RAM clear)
Note The auto sleep function is set by the timer setting in the “user mode

        Return for Low-Power Mode
After a lapse of 30 sec, the machine becomes ready to accept a job only in black mono
        mode.
        Power Save Functions
        Outline

        1. Standby Mode
In standby mode, the machine is in operation or is ready to operate, with all its parts
        supplied with power.

        2. Power-Save Mode
The term “power-save mode” is used generically to refer to the following modes, in
which the machine is supplied with power differently than it is in normal mode: powersave,
low-power, sleep. A shift in the direction of ‘present power-save mode’ to ‘lowpower
mode’ and then to ‘sleep’ mode occurs automatically.

        • Power-Save Mode
        Shift:
        • Low-Power Mode (factory setting)• Sleep Mode (sleep mode 1 or sleep mode 2)
        Shift:
A shift is made in response to the passage of time (auto sleep shift time)
specified in user mode or in response to a press on the control panel
        software power switch.

        Description:
In sleep mode 1 (relatively higher power consumption), the fixing assembly
is totally deprived of power. The DC controller PCB, however,
        remains supplied with power.
In sleep mode 2 (relatively lower power consumption), on the other
hand, the printer unit (including the fixing assembly) remains OFF; the
main controller PCB is supplied with all-night power

        *==factory settings.

        Timer Settings
auto sleep time 10 min, *15 min, 20 min, 30 min, 40 min,
        50 min, 1 hr, 90 min, 2 hr to 4 hr

shift to low-power consumption mode 10 min, *15 min, 20 min, 30 min, 40 min,
        50 min, 1 hr, 90 min, 2 hr to 4 hr

          The fuser must get hot.

If your trying to speed up the warm up process,,

          Good luck...

          Its a design feature.

Most fuser's take anywhere from 6 to 8 minutes to warm up.

          Ir3200 takes 6 to 8 minutes.

You can turn off sleep mode, but not recommended.

The fuser is hot. as i can use it (fully warmed up) then quickly put it to sleep, then wake it up and try to do a copy. (all within 10seconds) and the copier still goes to printer warming up for a period of time. Surely the machine hasn't gone cold in less then 10 seconds?

              Firmware v81.01 addressed this
to prevent heat roller from being deformed an added rotation was implemented /

the old service manual does not have the updated fuser charts

u need to remember, when 3200 comes out of quick sleep mode, the image adjustment also takes place, that can not be changed

i do not use sleep mode/ i set low power mode to 4hrs./ i turn off all that energy saving crap
              / even power saving

it is a waste of time & does not save money
