Hi kids,
I have a fun one that I have been struggling with for weeks, and still have not resolved the problem.
This copier is less than 3 months old, and it has been losing the ability to see the mailboxes themselves, not the contents, for over a month. If you press the ACCESS STORED FILES button on the op panel, the screen may not show the mailboxes. I have included a picture. The condition will be reset if the unit is powered off/on, and may stay good for several days. The contents then can be accessed.
The spooky part is, if the screen is blank, you can go into the administrative side of the copier, where you add/delete/edit the mailbox info, and still see the mailboxes. Also if you go in through RUI, the mailboxes can be seen and accessed.
What I have done to date is:
(1) Update system software to latest level.
(2) Replaced hard drive and once again load latest system software.
(3) Swapped the main controller 1 board ram from slot 1 to 2 and vice versa.
(4) Replaced main controller board 1.
Canon was originally contacted, but they cannot duplicate problem on their machine, so I have pretty much been doing this on my own....
