Canon ir 5055 original size detection problem

I need to know how to adjust or set Original size sensors.

I looked through Canon website and found nothing on this. (only note to this is: I did a Dcon and mn clear on it a month ago)

If I put a letter size paper on the glass it sees it as 11 by 17 and wants to copy to legal.

I cleaned the two sensors under the glass, made sure glass is siting right and it still does it.

Feeding through feeder obviously is fine but coping from the glass is the problem.

    Try this buddy.

    Enter service mode

    Level 2/ Copier/ Option/ Body SENS-CNF = 1

SENS-CNF =0 (default) : AB Type Document Sensor Placement
    SENS-CNF = 1 : Inch Type Document Sensor Placement

Thanks Screwtape, I have on order a white sheet and sponges and when they come in I will go out and do all this.

Should I do a white reference adjustment as well?

      Doc feeder works fine.

        It won't hurt. Good luck.

Just want to post the results to this problem. Screwtape was dead on on the fix here. I entered that setting and it fixed the issue.

          Many thanks to you screwtape!
