    CLC 5100 Error code

    Hi Everyone:

Our company has an old (circa 2003 I think) CLC 5100. We lovingly call it "The Beast"

Lately it has been throwing this code and I'm not sure what it means:

    E075-0003

Then it wants to be turned off and back on again; doing so just makes it throw the same code.

We recently replaced the transfer best, all 4 drums and developers and several thermistors. Two years ago we replaced both upper and lower fuser rollers and the cleaning web.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    From the service manual:
    Transfer belt edge sensor problem.

what is a transfer best ??

Place a service call, for a Canon trained tech./ that issue needs an experienced trained person to investigate-

u probably need that T/Sheet & Inside Cleaning Web replaced + the Black drive roller may need to be replaced if old, surface gets slick, sheet drifts & slips- some techs try and buff them up as a temp fix, does not last too long
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

          Thanks teckat:

I've already placed a service call with Canon Canada.

We have a really good tech but he says our 5100 is the only one left in captivity in the Toronto area - so how long parts will continue to be available is a factor.

Canon USA still supports that product

Could be the sensor causing the issue (PS19) or the steering assembly is not moving the belt in the proper manner causing it to shift out of center and throwing the machine into an error state.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
