    Canon 3240 "Insert toner"

Display reads:"Toner is not set. Insert toner". The toner IS in, tried a new OEM cartridge, same result with old and new cartridge. Any ideas? Thanks.... Jeff M.

      what is a 3240 ??
      is it the MF3240 ?

      MF3240
is this a non=oem cartridge ? if so
Check if metal pin is touching the inside sensor.
U may need to pull out out the metal part so it can touch the sensor, the printer will then detect the toner.

Yes, I am a tech, yes it is an MF 3240, and yes, it is embarrassing!. Spent enough time with this POS. Not worth it. Was hoping it might be a quick fix. Thanks for your responses. Regards.... Jeff M.
