We got a machine ir3300N but without the network card device and currently connecting to computer print using bi-directional parallel cable running fine. Does it support scan function using the cable? Wat kind of software or driver should i install?

To the best of my knowledge, scan only occurs thru the networked interface, not the parallel port. Scangear does not support the parallel port, and there are no twain drivers for 3300's."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

The only two ways to clear the connection message is, since your original post says the network card is missing, put a network card in it, and get it onto a live network,, or, replace the bootrom to a copier model, and reload the copier version system software to replace the networked version of system software."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"

mrfixit i need to correct myself, it does attaching the network card and it show "check network connection" and i thought from the beginning the network card is condemn and i just let it be, thats why i use parallel cable to connect computer. You mean when the message show so, it doesnt mean that the network card condemn? Or should i try to reload the firmware with N version again since we bought from other country?Comment

For clarification, "Check Network Connection" is presented when the copier cannot see a valid network connection, and the copier only checks the ethernet port. It only checks it one time during startup,, so if you make network IP changes, restarting the copier is necessary. The best way to check the port is to set up an IP on the copier, restart the copier, hook laptop\PC to the copier via a crossover cable, and see if the copier can be PINGed. Wait a couple minutes for the copier network card to become active after turning the copier on, it is not instantaneous."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"
