    Laser Class 730i not recognizing new cartridge

    Hi guys,
    I have a customer that got a "replace cartridge" indication. We tried two different OEM toner/drum cartridges and it's still showing replace cartridge. I tried blowing clean the sensor without any luck. Ideas? Thanks

    Check that Door Cover / check pin inside end- SHUT DOWN/PULL THE PLUG/WAIT 20MIN/ RE-START

      As you are standing in front of the fax remove the left cover. There is a VR on that side. Turn it 1/4 turn clockwise and see if the message goes away. If it doesn't do a 1/2 turn counterclockwise.

      I've seen this exact problem when I was trying to adjust the registration and was cranking on that VR. On the 3170 that's the one for reg, but on the 730's it has to do with the sensitivity for the toner sensor.
