    Canon Ir2020 A3 problems

    Hi Everyone!
I've got a problem with a Canon IR2020. It has the following problem. It can copy or print A4 from the both tray ( 1st and 2nd) but the A3 doesn't work from eachone. It jams always when the A3 is halfway ( leading edge) out at the output tray. Eventhough from the handtray on the left side it can copy or print with A3 also. So the at the fixing unit it seems to me everything is fine. I think before the registration roller must be the problem.
I've looked after the clutch at the pick-up mechanism , it wasn't fine, but works ( also replaced to test)
Someone told me if not the clutch it could be the soleonids in each tray. Could it be the problem? Have you ever had to replace the soleonids because a jam?
The error codes are #210 and #210C.
Thank you in advance for any idea or issue.

Replace feed clutch for cassette 3

    0210 jam code
    1. On the control panel, push the Additional Functions key, and then push the right arrow key 4 times.
    2. Select [5. ADJUST./CLEANING], and then push the OK key.
    3. Push the right arrow key 4 times, select [5.SPECIAL MODE M], and then push the OK key.
    4. Using the right arrow key, change the selected item from [MID] to [LOW], and then push the OK key.
    5. Go out of user mode.

    Note:
Setting [5. SPECIAL MODE M] to [LOW] will decrease temperature of the pressure roller to change the degree of fixing temperature to overshoot from 10 deg. C to 5 deg. C, consequently alleviating evaporation of moisture contained in the paper.

      Hi Teckat!
Thank you for your idea, I know that you're quite expert have lot of experience.Could you please enlight me why should decrease the temperature of the fixing? I don't see the link/ connection beetwen the A3 jam and the fixing . I told that there wasn't any jam when we use the handtray on the left side.
      Thank you in advance !

That adjustment was an add in for paper moisture issues.

when u switch over to A3 for both trays 1/2 - does control panel state A3 ??
Have u tried other sizes , other that A2-A3 ??

+ the Paper path is different out of cassette trays & side tray

You replaced the white plastic feed clutch? They are known to fail....open them up and clean the white powder out of them and they work fine. Sounds like a timing issue...make sure the actuators for the sensors along the vertical path aren't "lazy"....seen a few on these machines
