    iR7105 Finisher

Hi guys, first of all, i like to wish all of you HAPPY 2011.
I am having this strange problem with 1 of my iR7105 V1 finisher, whenever the start button is press, there is these message show on the control panel "printing, waiting to print,
suspended" with nothing print out. If i would to cancelled the print/copy job, it will return to ready state but if i don't cancelled the job, it will keep on showing the message. Now if i remove the finisher, it is printing OK.One more thing is whenever i power on the machine, the stapler unit will automatic staple for about 20 times, is this normal?Doesn't have the service manual for the finisher, wonder if anybody could spare?Would be appreciated for any kind of help.
    Thanks in advance.

In some cases adjusting the Sensor Intensity for the Finisher has remedied the message. This procedure can be found in the Finisher- V1 / Saddle Finisher- V2 Service Manual, Pg; 4-6 and 4-7, of the Finisher - V1 Service Manual, or Pg; 4-7, 4-8 of the Saddle Finisher - V2 Service Manual. It should also be noted that the sensor intensity should be adjusted upon installation of the Finisher, or replacing specific sensors.

Also, with the stapler cycling 20 times, sounds like it's trying to feed staples but it's not getting them fed up into position, take out the stapler and check for staple jams.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Fred.
You are right on the stapler cycling 20 times, actually the stapler unit was faulty, interchange the unit with another unit and the cycling issue is solve.About the other issue, it is because the jumper wire on the relay board was missing, fited the jumper wire and the machine is working.
Need another advice on how do i enable the puncher unit on this machine.I don't see the puncher function on the control panel, do you mind giving me some guide on how set/enable the puncher function? Or perhaps email me the settings.
      Thanks in advance.

Make sure the machine and the finisher is turned off first then flip Sw381 bit 2 to ON. Power up the Finisher then the copier.

Once the copier is warmed up and ready, Enter Service Mode> Sorter>Function>PCH-STUP press OK the display should go "Active" then "OK". Punch unit should now work.

        Good luck.
