Only on double-sided this machine causes wandering registration, no problem regular copying. Sometimes it shifts as much as an inch... didn't have time to look as customer was in the long run of copy job.

Check is the gear rack that drives the side reg sensor in the duplex drawer. Those have been known to get gummed up and cause wandering crosstrack(sub-scanning) registration.
Another thing to check is the bearings on the steel roller in the duplex drawer. -
Front to rear misregistration or lead edge? If lead edge is wandering,clean the registration clutch with alcohol.Comment
