We just received a IRC3220 that we are using to replace a high meter IRC3200 that we have. The c3220 we just received has the N2 finisher, LCT, ADF, and also came with the c1 on the back.
Here's the problem.... The C1 won't communicate with anything. Didn't take long to determine the C1 was the issue and not the copier. After serveral hours of trouble shooting the C1 and trying to talk to it, reseat all cables/connections, cleaned, checked everything we could, Tried communicating through independent switch, tried communicating through cross over cable, but all to no avail. Both the lan port and the printer ether port would respond to any communication. And since we don't have the imagepass CD, reloading the HDD was not an option either. So we finally gave up and disconnected it as for what we'll use the printer for, we really don't need it (would have been nice but not necessary).
We unhooked the C1, removed the IF PCB and replaced it with the surf card from our old C3200. changed the INT CON to 0 to set the unit for use without the c1. Setup the network address, hooked it up the network and pinged it with success. Thought all was going well. Tried printing using the existing c3200 drivers but that didn't work (wasn't surprised but figured I try). Updated the drivers, rebooted the printer, and did a test print on the new drivers. Computer acts like it is printing. Sends the data to the printer. the C3220 indicates it is receiving and processing the data. As soon as the computer is done sending the date, the printer looks like it is dumping the data.
I'm missing something, but just for the life of me cannot figure out what. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
