Image Runner C3220 printing issues. Could use some advice.

I did try delaying the boot of the c1....didn't work. As for communications, the cross over cable is good as I checked by linking and pinging my laptop and one of our computers directly (that was one of the first things I did). The C1 won't communicate with anything once booted up. The only status light that was on was the power led. To help determine whether the communication issue was on the copier side or the c1 side, I took the cross over cable and link my laptop directly to the copier and pinged the copier address that the c1 would have originally been setup on (10.255.255.2). I could ping the copier successfully. I then connected the laptop directly the printer output ether port on the C1 and repeated the process. The C1 would not reply to pinging it on 10.255.255.1 (which should be the address it would be on). Just in case it was on a different address in the range, I had the laptop run a script that pinged all 254 addresses and didnt get any reply. I also could not get any response from the last known IP on the input lan side either. And just to make sure it wasn't a crossover issue, I also tried some of the same steps with a standalone switch and a couple of straight patch cables. No dice on any of it.

You know you network troubleshooting. How refreshing (honestly). I'm used to trying to help people that don't understand what I mean when I say "save it to your desktop" and click the "start" button.

Thanks for the compliment. I like to think I am reasonably adept at getting things running whether it be point to point encrypted wireless bridges over 5 mile distances or a small home network or even building and repairing computers, but this C3220 is really starting to get under my skin. It has turned almost into a vendetta. Which is why I am seeking out advice and help from the fine people on this site. Many of you on here clearly know your copier info and look like wizards to me. The volume and depth of the information on this site is amazing and I for one sure appreciate the advice and help.
