[Misc] Canon C6000 Duplexing card issue

    Hi,

We have a Canon C6000 that we've been using for over a year now. However, recently there has been an on-going duplexing issue. When I try to duplex any matt stock over 160gsm the back print is completely mis-aligned. All our prints are done via Command Workstation and imposed onto SRA3s. We have been doing this since day 1 with very little problems.

For example, on double-sided business cards printed on say 250g card, the front appears correct, however, the back of the cards seem to be randomly moved up and down, sometimes 2-3 inches or more.

I've gone in and done 'Roller Cleaning', etc but cant find anything that helps. We also print a lot of 130-170g gloss. Is it possible the rollers are coated?

    Please help! Friday emergencies!

Deadlines are no fun, I totally understand.

Simple answer here is to call your local trained technician to resolve your issue. Sounds like you need some rollers replaced in the duplex path. You will get a quicker resolution to your problem from your technician than waiting on a response from this forum to a problem that may well lead to parts replacement, something that we can only guess at without physically seeing your machine...

      Hi mrfixit51,

Yeah, kind of figured it would be duplex path rollers. Guess I'll have to wait for service tech guy to arrive. Most likely won't be til Monday though.

      Typical Friday afternoon, eh?

If i remember your copier have about a million copies,so your rollers are just fine.Try to clean rollers in duplex unit and try again
        if you have an improvement.

you can do two sided alignments on the image press series for any stock. Check the attached guide out for pointers. You can also manually adjust the first and second side alignment through the command workstation.

Sorry dude, but if you reed carefully ( randomly moved up and down, sometimes 2-3 inches or more)You see that is not a software
            but mechanical issue.

yeah I might have missed that paragraph when reading the post!!! lol....sorry

I am shocked that machine is not jamming if the registration is shifting that much. I have had issue with PS110 (lead edge sensor) and PS101 ( ITB home position sensor) but the caused issues on both single and double sided and nothing more than 8-10mm I guess if he is measuring the difference between the first and second side he could get a shift of about 20mm or more but that is still only 1.5 inches.
