    Hi there

We have had an issue with this particular machine since install. Basically we get what looks like vibration lines. TP 5 shows lines perpendicular to feed direction.

We have done an amazing amount of work to try and rectify the issue but alas to no avail!

We have replaced the the Drum kit assembly, the drum drive gears, the ITB unit (as the drive roll has been strengthened apparently) and both flywheels.

We are now at a stage of pulling our hair out! Anyone else had the pleasure of working on these wonderful machines!!!

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

there is a drive assembly in the back that usually causes this issue. If you are going to replace one...replace them all.

a good 28lb paper limits some of the pitch line issue-

if the machine has big volume/ check those developer lock down screw tabs for damage

            Hi Teckat

As mentioned in the first post, the machine has behaved like this since install so I doubt it is the developer lock down screw tabs (but will keep this in mind for the future

Hmmmm drum shaft, looking back at the CLC 1100's I guess this is a possibility. Pity there isn't a drum jig tool for this machine! I will keep this in mind to check

            Thanks

you say that you have had this issue from day of the install. Was the machine setup at the customers office or did you test it out at your shop and then deliver?
We have never had this issue, but I know of a dealership that shipped one with the developers and counter weights installed in the turret and they bent it during delivery causing pitch lines in the prints of the machine.

If you make PG-5 you can see a vibration lines on every single c1+ machine.

All of our machines are installed on the customers site. Therefore we can probably rule out the counter weights damging anything. Thanks for the response.

Yes I am aware these dogs all have some form of line on PG 5 but it doesn't fix the issue I wish Canon would recognise the issues and spend time on RnD trying to fix em.

Anyway I will raise a ticket with Canon support and hall there butts out into the field....

I'd agree with that. Made no differance anytime I changed it

Was blessed with better results/ worked on 60% of complaints/
had some luck with just replacing Dev unit in question of pitch.

when a graphic nerd points out a pitch/ u sell 28lb/32lb top of the line paper
                            hides the issue pretty good

Funny thing is- machines sitting on a rug rarely exhibit issue/

Thanks for the responses. It was the drive unit for the drum/itb in the end. Canon have modded this part sometime ago.
