Advice request - Toner cartridge screw up on IR 550 sticks open

Error cocde EO20 showed up, I removed the cartridge and found the toner plug struck open, cleaned things up, put in a new cartrige, cleared the error code and it ran for a few copies then stuck again, now after cleaning resetting and starting again, it just pops up the same code with the cartridge in the open position. What gives?1.JPG

I changed the entire cartridge carrier assembly - still no go

There must be a driver board somewhere that runs the toner motor. I exchanged the entire assembly, here is a pic of what I changed. The error code still comes up after one copy.toner assembly.JPG

try filling up your developer with toner manually. if i'm not mistaken that error code would go away until your toner developer runs out of toner again. this means that yout hopper motor is not delivering toner to your developer.

            I am running again, thanks

I pulled out and exchanged the entire developer assembly. It is stuffed full of toner. The machine is up and printing again, though now I want to know what to do with the developer and figure what went wrong with it.

At least I know the circuit board I relaced and the toner cartridge drive assembly I replaced are both good spare parts.

Any Idea on what to look for as to the cause of this?

The toner didn't fill into the bottom half of the tray. or spread itself evenly across.developer.JPG
