    Canon SMTP Authentication

Canon is one of the most popular brands we sell however they seem to have an issue with SMTP Authentication.

Does anyone know where to set the SMTP AUthentication or where to check if that is a feature of the copier???
...I'm currently working on an IR-2220i

I haven't looked at a Canon in ~5 years, but I'd start with the web page. It's a whole lot easier than digging through the menus on the copier screen.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      iR2220i

From memory, depress the additional functions button (head with star in it) Go system>network>page down to email/ifax enter, you will need either the IP address of theSMTP server or Name plus an address for the copier,i.e. iR2220i@*******. You will also need the Domain name for the network. System>network>TCP/IP. Always exit each page to retain info and PO/PO. If you enter the IP of this machine in your web browser you should be able to view the remote user interface which can make things easier. To update the m/c after making changes hit the refresh button in the top RH corner of the RUI screen.

        SMTP Authentication

There is no SMTP Authentication for IR 2220i( this include ir i series), it is only available on the newer canon model (IRC and the IR70 series onward).

          firmware update

Is there possibly a firmware update to add authentication?

Also, does anyone know what "SMTP Receipt" is?
