[Misc] C3220 OS X 10.6.x PS Driver - Not working

Had a c2620 and was using driver Canon iR C2620-C1 PS V2.1 and everything was/is fine. The c2620 DOES NOT have a RIP or anything though.

I picked up a c3220 with N2 Finisher unit, it DOES NOT have a RIP or anything either. Tried using the driver Canon iR C3220-C1 PS V2.1 and it won't print. I can call up the printer just fine on the RUI.

I switched to the basic driver Canon iR C3220 and it prints fine, however the saddle stitch and many other options are no longer available in my print dialog.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

thanks Teckat. I had already downloaded the newest versions thinking there might be some change between the 2620 & 3220 and OS X 10.6.x. However, when I go to select the driver under UFR the 3220 isn't listed as an option. Just dug around a bit more and see now that UFR 2.21 doesn't support the 2620/3220 models.

Now, I SWEAR I installed the PS 3.2 and yet the 3220 didn't come up as an option when adding the printer. So I just reinstalled (or perhaps for the first time!) the 3.2 driver. Viola! All is right with the world now. I feel a bit silly now as I thought I had exhausted all my options before posting.

On a side note, in the service area, I know I do a clear of things like the password and the jam/err history etc. But is there a way to just totally reset everything to factory settings? Excluding of course things like durables/meters. I have some other c3200's that I'm going to sell off now that I have this machine (only 30k clicks!) and I want to erase all my settings in those machines before sending them out the door.

      thanks!

U can format a partition in the HDD using the SST- Canon service support tool
FSTDEV and FSTPDEV retain image data as it accumulates while DOSDEV and
DOSDEV2 retain its associated data; these 4 partitions, therefore, must be formatted at the
same time. To do so, select FSTDEV using the SST.

        HDD.JPG

Name of partition that may be selected by the SST
        -------------Partition that is formatted
FSTDEV ---- FSTDEV, FSTPDEV, DOSDEV, DOSDEV2
        DOSDEV3 ---- DOSDEV3
        PDLDEV ---- PDLDEV
        DOSDEV4 ---- DOSDEV4
        DOSDEV5 ---- DOSDEV5
        BOOTDEV---- BOOTDEV

FSTDEV and FSTPDEV retain image data as it accumulates while DOSDEV and DOSDEV2 retain its associated data; these 4 partitions, therefore, must be formatted at the same time. To do so, select FSTDEV using the SST.
The actual formatting of FSTDEV and PDLDEV takes place when the machine is started up the next time, and it takes as long as the following:
        FSTDEV: 2 min (approx.)
        PDLDEV: 5 min (approx.)
all partitions: 7 min (approx.; i.e., FSTDEV + PDLDEV)
The times vary according to the state of the HDD, and the progress of formatting is indicated by means of a progress bar.
Formatting of DOSDEV4 requires the use of the SST.

one more question. Is it actually possible to print saddle-stitched books direct from Mac OS X? The option to saddle-stitch is no where to be found in the PS Driver. Lots of options for corner, side, bottom, top, etc, but no Saddle option. Searching for older versions of the PS driver, I see a note in v1.6 that it calls out the c2620/3220 as not having this option. Thanks for any insight.

Internal Board : Super G3 FAX Board
This is from the RUI. I can saddle-stitch if I feed hard copies via ADF.

just noticed that in RUI there is no option for Saddle-Stitching either...

                  2-sided :
                  Off
                  On
                  2-Sided Type :

                  Finisher:
                  Offset

                  Staple Position :
                  Corner
                  Double
