Canon IRC 5180 shows error code E747

After scanning a set of originals when I press "Done" to print, this error code E747 comes up. The sub code changes 4217, 4213 , 6213 , 421E . There is no mention of these sub codes in the manual. Is this a Main controller or Sub PCB problem ?

Can anybody give some idea please

    Thanks in advance

    Here's something I found,

    Error :
Attempting to run files from the customer's network and using the Canon PDL Board, the machine would go into the following Error Code with multiple sub codes: E747 - 421B / 4217 / 6213 / 221C / 2219 / 4214 / 421D / 221D. This problem has been observed on other machines.

    Workaround :
If customer in running large files (some over 200meg) try installing the IR 512MB Expansion RAM-C1 to correct this issue. The RAM-C1 is a Sales item: # 0529B002AA

      Hi there

When you say 'a set of originals' how many? Does the error show if you lesson the amount you are scanning? if it does then it definitely sounds like a RAM issue.

Not only the number of originals, but also the D.P.I. set for scanning can affect this. I had a copier doing this, I asked customer's IT person to set scanning resolution to 200 dpi b/w,,, this resolved my issue...

            Hi All,

Problem is resolved after removing and reseating the RAM, ROM and Sub PCB to which the cable from Image pass H1.

This info was given in an earlier post by teckat who is a copier genius.

so thank you all very much for your inputs
