Have an issue with ir4570. When printing, once in a while the machine prints a few completely black pages, not even blanking edges are visible. Problem is NOT in the document AND laserunit is allready replaced. Am thinking of DC controller now as this is the only thing thats makes the laser beam or not beam. Any more suggestions?

Check the physical connections of the primary contacts.
The primary drum contact is located on the drum and makes contact with an HVT metal contact on the machine's rear.
The drum's primary contact tab can be easily bent or deformed during drum replacement or removal. If it becomes bent it can cause solid black copies
Check the leaf spring on the front side of the machine that makes contact with the steel registration roller.
If the spring is bent backwards far enough and it is making contact with the transfer roller, it can cause black copies.

If when blocking the Laser the image is still solid black
an u receive no E064 the problem may be a faulty HVT.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

Black copies ir4570.
Iv'e had the same problem three times in the past, once on a ir4570 and twice on a ir3245, has been the HVT PCB.Comment

I also think this is some kind of a charge issue being the machine wrights too black and if you have a charge arking problem by contacts it will cause black copies...changing the Drum unit should fix the problem and check your charge and drum ground connections..Comment
