IR4570 problem on paper pick-up on cassette 2

    Good Day,

i have problem in one of my costumer machine (IR 4570) paper pick-up in cassette 2(large cassette). First of all, the machine have no cassette 1 (middle cassette) due to already broken. when i turn on the machine, cassette 2 is ok. the problem occured when i removed the cassette 2 and put it back again. the motor in the pick-up assembly is not working after i put back the cassette.

When i turn off the machine and turn on again, the motor is working and cassette 2 is working.

    TIA

Try to swap the whole pick up assy middle to the large.
    Is the problem corrected?
Yes: The problem is in the middle cassette unit.
No: Maybe you has a faulty motor (M7).
It could be recognised by the swap of M6 to M7
If the middle cassette pick up assy & the motor for middle on the place of the large still makes the same problem, the DC controller is wrong.

pick-up assembly for cassette 1 & 2 have different frame. i already swap the motor of the two pick-up assembly but same problem encountered.

is there a sensor for detecting the presence of cassette?

      thanks

The units are the same, the mounting brackets would have to be switched. There is a cassette recognition switch. I believe its at the rear of the unit. I've had to blow those units out due to toner spillage and dust. If the tray gets "locked out", you have to power off and on to restart lifter motor.

If you pick off some some pieces from it you will see that Pick up assembly 1 & 2 is the same, you can swap. I am attaching a photo:

The rear mounting bracket and the plastic exit guides are the only difference between 1 & 2. I have swapped them often during troubleshooting issues...

Already got it... problem with the paper size detection sensor pcb because when i removed the cassette, it recognizes the cassette and paper size. when i swap the pcb in the other cassette, it works.
