    [Dead] adv fin a1

Good day! I have an ir adv 5035 inner finisher a1-it was installed 1 day ago-latest firmware.
Now it throws error codes and jam codes for the finisher. The gripper assembly seems to seize up upon initialization. I have had to replace the gripper rail before, this one has the modified rail. Upon dissambly, the gripper seems to move freely. I was wondering if anybody has seen this problem before. Between this problem and the gripper rails, I swear I could take this finisher apart in my sleep.
    Thanks in advance!

e 572 003-the jam codes are error induced for the finisher gripper init.

If you remove the gripper and manually wind the gears to their home position? Does it do the same?

You say the gripper "seizes" up , is it the gripper seizing, or is it hitting the plastics due to it either being o.o.p / open?

This is a brand new machine, yes? Do they come with the modified gripper as standard there? ( modified gripper arm holder ) as these , at least in the EU , had to have the rear sensor arm cut when installed or they travel too far back.

Out of my 150+ IRAC50XX machines, I have had to replace 3 grippers for being faulty. These either did not "open" correctly , hence hitting the plastics exiting the machine. Or in the case of 1 caused 1101 jams even though it was the newer type.

The gripper is the new style-manually worked fine-turned out the delivery out put rollers on top were slightly dislodged, causing the gripper to bind and grind from above. Looked like a gripper issue, but was probably due to the movement of the machine.
          Thanks for your help!
