    [Error Code] IP 6000

I have a 6000 that for the last month is throwing random E018-0212. (patch sensor code). I have tried everything I can think of, motor, sensor,DV unit, wireing harnesses and the DV unit rail. If I move the whole process unit to another machine the problem follows the unit. Got a used process unit and put it in, problem was gone for about 3 wks. Now it is back. I took out the shutter bar that is mounted to the face of the DV unit, it will go a few days and then the error pops up again.(sensor is clean). Everytime, the arm that goes through the sensor is all the way to the back. I turn the arm back out with the little worm gear and it is good to go.

there was a Firmware update to the DCON from 27.01 to 30.15 for E018 issue. in System Software V70.21
If a door was opened and closed on the main engine during the initial operation of the patch detect shutter, it was possible for the shutter to move to the rear,
causing E018. In order to prevent this, a modification is made so that the initial operation of the patch detect shutter does not stop even when the door is opened
    and closed.

probably does not apply in your case !!

do not use the motors from the KIT/ order a separate one

I have never had your sub-code but like teckat said the motors from the kit are worthless. You are better off just throwing them away and ordering them as seperate item.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
