This informs the field that Error Code E240-0004 has been changed to E009-0002/due to the update revision of DCON from v60.01 to v61.02.

Considering I had the first 50XX's in my country, 60+ in one go , and have had every possible issue with them. I am glad this has not reared its head yet. Although the fix looks ok.

I'm not that familiar with Canon machines and this is one of our test machines. I have E009-0002 Errors and Jam Errors (0CF1, 0A01, 0A02). Paper stops at the registration asm, does not enter fuser, and is not crumpled in any way. Jams occur whether printing from Bypass, Tray 1 or Tray 2. There is a thumping noise that occurs during warm-up and during printing.

We performed the cleaning procedure you recommended, added pressure to the leaf spring, and we are still getting the above errors. What, in your opinion should be our next step?

Update:

We bent the leaf spring more and error went away. It is working now without jamming, thumping noise is gone but a clicking noise remains.

We have had this error now on 3 machines, a iRAdv5030i, a iRADv5045i and a iRAdv5051i, with varying degrees of successful fault completion! We started out doing the grease clean and spring re-tension as per the bulletin, but this didn't cure it on all of the machines. Fortunately we had a used machine that had just come back after a lease agreement that we nicked the fuser out of, put this in the first faulty machine, flashed the software and this one is fine. Strangely though we took the previously erroring fuser out and put that in our ex lease machine and that's been fine! We now have one MIF that is constantly falling over with the E0009 version of the error (we have haven't updated the software yet)....so my question is do you know of any reason that the software versions could be either helping to get over this error or possibly causing it? All the machines have been completely degreased and we went so far as to change the cams and the springs on all of them but we are still getting this issue on 2 of them, but even with swapping the fusers around one machine (with the older software revision on it) is definitely being more problematic than the others. please let me know....

E009-0002
replacing the sensor holder unit for the pressure cam sensor resolved the error. The part number for the sensor holder unit is FM3-5953-000.
