Canon IR 5000 Finisher

The paper feed belts broke on the finisher....it looks like a pain to fix. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kurt

You're probably getting misfeeds (jam code 2-1134-1, 2-1134-2) in the finisher, before the stapling tray. Also possible E000584-0001 code.

It's not as bad as it looks. Take off the front and back covers, the trays, and the left covers. There is a black plastic snap release to let loose the inner part of the belts. If you move the stapler to the rear you can see it very well from the inside. The whole stapling tray unit comes off as 1 piece. One screw in each corner. Untether the harness.

Sorry I can't remember much more detail.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
