    Canon ir2230 light copies

    Can someone tell me how to test the toner motor to see if it is working. I have light copies on the machine and it appears that toner is not being dispensed. I cheated the toner access door and ran 10 copies twice and the toner cartridge did not turn at all. I entered service mode and could not find how to test the toner motor. I don't have a service manual so I'm at a dissadvantage. Any help would be appreciated!

    Do you have any massages "Toner is low"?Do you hear motor sound maybe.

    Stirring toner in the developer at installation

    First you need to check if you have toner in developer.

    1 Bottle rotation motor 1:ON
    2 Hopper screw motor 1:ON

      I am not getting any messages at all. The customer replaced the toner to see if it would help even though the old toner cartridge still had toner in it. The copies are light overall; I'm not suspecting any other CQ problem. It just seems that the system is being starved for toner.
      I will use the above information to troubleshoot further. Thanks. (I need to get me a service manual for this one.)
