canon ir c3220 w/ fiery x3e-01 endless spooling loop

Hello I've got a Canon ImageRunner C3220 w/ Fiery x3e-01 controller. When printing via the newest PS driver, Windows spooler keeps sending the job over to the printer then restarts and does it endlessly, on the printer LCD panel I see that the printer keeps adding and increasing the job number, but never prints anything. It just keeps receiving and increasing the same job. I've telnet the printer to port 9100 and it prints just fine, however. I've reset everything to factory defaults, but same issue. Any ideas guys?

Negative. I tried the older drivers too, tried 2 different computers as well, same results.

I see you set it back to factory default but is Windows printing enabled on the Fiery? That can cause the problem you're having even if you're not using a SMB port (aka Windows printing) and are using port 9100. I think it's on by default but you may have to run through the setup after a restore to factory default just to lock it in.

also, did you try a "clear server"?


Another thing to check is the print queue is enabled. The Direct and Hold don't matter so much as print.

It originally had Windows printing enabled, but it's disabled after the factory default. Print queue is enabled. I'll try a clear server in a bit.

I reread my post and realized I was kinda vague, Windows printing needs to be "ON" even if you aren't using a SMB port. If that and doing a clear server don't get it running I'd try reinstalling the system software. GL!
