i have a canon clc 1140 with a colorpass z400e attached. this setup has worked well for me for many years but recently the power on the colorpass has been sketchy - sometimes powering up and sometimes not. a week ago i tried powering up the colorpass and noticed that the power came on for a second - long enough for the fans to turn a revolution - and then shut down. trying to repower up the unit does nothing at all - no fans, lights, or anything. if i let the unit sit unplugged for a period of time the colorpass will give the original symptom - fans, lights, for a second and then no power. has anyone run into this and found a solution?

Just as with any other PC (which this is, actually), it sounds like the power supply or motherboard has decided to call it quits.
Unless you can get the parts really cheap, like by someone here at Copytechnet or on eBay, it's probably not worth messing with. You can very likely get the entire RIP (or a different model that would work) for a very decent price.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. the source is wrong.
change it and it is.
also you can adactar a source of pc come with inteructor.
only together on automatic (green) with Earth (black).

Funny thing about this Z400e is that if you plug in both the ColorPass and printer in same outlet, and there is something else sharing this outlet without your knowledge-
u will have a voltage drop over 10/15% - this would drive me crazy at some accounts-
discovered some accounts had microwaves/toasters/refrigerators/other printers plugged on same line in other rooms on the floor
