    [Electrical] E 315 advance 6055

Had a 45 minute look at an advance 6055 with E315 -0540 this evening.
    Reseated memory
    Updated system to v31.

    Copier has Uniflow running
Each time it restarts, it tries to complete sending a scan job, then dies, whether the door is open or the fuser is disconnected.

    Any ideas????

    Perform the following

    All Data Initialization:
Settings and Registration > Log In > Management Settings > Data Management > Initialize All Data/Settings
this will take about 20 minutes to complete.

        Thanks Teckat
Tech support told me to do the initialization, but I needed a second opinion.
Any way I was able to find an alternate method, because the IT guy was not there early, and I could not get to the additonal functions screen, because I had no acess to Uniflow.
So I tried methodically HD CLEAR 0,1 and 2 , The machine crapped out after each.
I got tired of turning it on and off to clear error, so I did Clear 3-8 all in a row. The send job disappeared and the code stopped appearing.
I found Clear 4 and 6 said NG , but it was not significant,
I checked Clear 4 and 6 on anothe working machine and it said NG also.

I was told that doing INITIALIZATION would require a reload of UNIFLOW.
So basically I stumbled upon a shortcut

              I had another E315-0540 today.
After disconnecting the network cable doing HD CLEAR type 5, a bunch of NG email reports printed out , then everything started working correctly.

I updated firmware and went to, settings and registration>send settings>email and fax settings and maxed out the size to 99mb and it worked, two of my machine have been working for over a month now

If you set it to a '0' there is no limit placed on the file at the machine level.
