Canon IR 7095 Max OS X Driver issues

    Hi,

    First post so here goes......

I have a Canon IR 7095 and we have been printing from PC's and controlling workflow via CWS for a few years now with no problems so far.

We are now having to print direct from the mac to the 7095 and so far have not been able to! I have spoken to support at Canon and they inform me that there is no driver for our mac and to look at google for a solution.... came across this forum and had a good look about and it would appear that others have similar problems.

I have had a look at this thread http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ca...-problems.html and followed the advice there and still no joy.

    My system is -
    Model Name: Mac Pro
    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Memory: 5 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz

    OS X 10.5.8

We have CWS installed and working on the MAC and have tried using the drivers that are downloadable from the files on the server.

    Thanks in advance

    Josh

      Thanks for the link.

I installed this driver and the job stops at 26% in the print queue. What is interesting is that it obviously talking to the printer as the utility feature is showing activity going on on the printer so maybe its how I have the driver configured??

I am not as good with the Macs as PC's but have set up two canon clc 5100's a poster printer and a 500 year old Ricoh on this mac but im willing to try anything at this stage.

Double click on the .dmg or installer file for the driver.

"Mount" the printer driver by copying the files to your harddrive. To do this, just drag and drop the files into the folder where you want to save your software. The Mac will then copy the files to the location you specified.
Follow any further instructions the installation software gives you to complete the installation process.
"Eject" the .dmg or installer file. To do this, drag the file from your desktop into the trash can.

Open the Print Center on your Mac and then click the "ALT" key and "Add" at the same time. You should see a list of printers that includes the one you are installing. Choose this printer and click the "Add" button in the dialog box.

        Reboot your computer
If you do not see the printer on the list. Be sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac first.

        *********

Printer might already be on the printer list before you install the manufacturer software. If this is the case, remove it from the printer list before you install the software.
Then add the printer back to the list.
