[Misc] clc 1110 background dirty in manual feed extra heavy stock mode

I am getting a dirty background in manual feed extra heavy stock, not sure where to adjust for this. Would like to learn more about this machine in general.

with over 150 tech pubs on this series and a model about 10 years old - u will need a lot of aspirins

u first need to gut machine and clean it out / background on copier can come from many locations/
    - old drum
    -over tone of developers
    -non-oem toner
    -old developer/starter
    -primary grid/primary post height
    -dirty fuser rollers
-transfer cleaner brush unit clogged up/with paper stuck in behind brushes

first get a service manual and a handbook. Then find someone who will be willing to show you all the ins and outs of the unit as this is a vry mechanical device!

        Clc 1110

Took a few asprins already, I have rebuilt the fuser changed the rollers both upper and lower. The developers and toners and scraper blade.
Using this machine with a special toner set of ceramic glaze toners. To do fired on digital decals. The dirty background is a new thing.... There must be reference out there on how to maintain this beauty. Finding service for it is near impossible so far.

use Advertise on Craigslist for a Canon CLC1100 series trained tech.
or call a Canon Authorized service dealer
            in your area

if you know anything about automotive painting when the drum gets old it has an "orange peel" look to it. When that happens your black density bounces all over the place and can easily cause a color background.

Have you tried calibrating to that stock or running auto gradation on it?

                Clc service manual

No not yet, I am looking for one, I need a service manual for sure. I will check the drum for aging signs. Thought i could find one online (free) but no luck so far.

checked gradation and density all withen norms, but the oil from the fuser leaves a light cyan bar at the leading edge of the stock too...like the fuser oil is tinted very lightly cyan.

if u use non OEM fuser rollers/u need to do a nip width check
check the orange sponge rollers in the cleaner web units/they get saturated with oil
make sure oil cleaner blades have no nicks

clean out the oil well/check black tray for cracks/replace the oil pad/(lube it before u do so)/replace oil cleaner blade/
