more than likely this is a main controller, RAM, boot rom issue.

I agree, its a very common issue on this model. Sometimes reseating all of your Main Controller sub PCB's and chips can get you running, or just replace the above mentioned parts one by one.

I had one just like that. On the rear of the machine there is a connector board.

It is dead center of everything. With the back cover taken off you could draw an imaginary line from top left to bottom right, Top right to bottom left and these lines would cross right where this board is. Cold solder joints! Remove and remelt contacts.

Did you check your wall voltage-neutral and ground ? neutral to hot ? hot to ground ?

          Control Panel Display is Dark
First try re-seating the Dimms, the Boot Rom and the Option Boards(Network/Resolution/Open interface). If the problem still exists replace the Power Distribution PCB.(FG6-9676-000)
          PIC00003.jpg

Check the connection between the Sub-Main Controller (J1303) and the Main Controller (J1209) to see if they are seated correctly. When installing the Sub-Main Controller press the connectors together
