I don't know what you mean by "small inkjet printer" but my inkjet is much bigger and heavier than my Canon MF8350Cdn and it is made to print high volumes. It's an HP business line printer, not those small $300 home models.

I guess I could flush the cyan ink tube but with all the ink that flowed through it would have self cleaned many times. I think it's the sealing cap for the cyan printhead no longer making an airtight seal as it's always both ends of the printhead that fails in the same way, it's not random nozzles dying like a regular printhead death, it's always both extremities if the head failing.

Anyway the statement option didn't work as it disables double sided printing so I'll have to keep printing the old fashion way and cutting the sheets after printing instead of before.

I'm not sure about your HP, but it's extremely rare to find any printer that can duplex statement size; even much larger MFPs can't do it.

I'd be completely surprised if any machine can duplex a custom size.

Here's the machine you should get...

        Ricoh: InfoPrint 5000 Volume Platform

Actually made by IBM, Ricoh has rights through their Infoprintsolutions Company joint venture. About the lowest cost per page full color, fastest, lowest cost for paper option and you'll never ever need another machine...it's fast as f*ck. You'll be able to print variable data, forms, direct mailers, brochures, stickers, even be able to compete in the book printing market.

It's also technically inkjet and has different formulas available.

Just be ready for the $1 million plus price tag. And if you don't care for that brand, Fuji, Kodak, Heidelberg, Xeikon, and HP have their own equivalents.
