are the bearings, bushings and rollers in good shape? Usually when the bearings lock up and start eating the lower shaft you get all kinds of fuser jams

What I mean is there any problem associated with the cleaning roller that presses the web against the upper roller, flaring at the ends causing problems.

            She understood your question.
She is just giving you a better place to look for your jamming.

I've not seen that before, but it is a copier, stranger things have happened.
Only one way to know. Change it and see what happens.

When you say flare does it flare out or is it compressed???? If it is flaring our and keeping
the web from touching the roller then guess what...no silicon oil is being applied!!!! and then it will cause jams since the toner will stick to the roller.
