    canon clc1180 error E072-0003

This error is consistently coming, after 5-10 copies/print, error comes.
Drawer connectors are already brand new, both sides.
Transfer Cleaning Unit is working alright. (But not yet tried to swap with another unit)
Transfer Cleaning Unit Cam is working also. (But not yet tried to swap with another unit)

Anyone got any bright ideas as to how to diagnose this.

    Thank You

Check both sides of all the door switches for voltage. A switch that is failing will drop the supplied voltage 3 to 5 vdc. Replace the switch.
Check both SW4 (Left front cover switch) and SW5 (Delivery Cover switch).

    E072-0002

if u look above the Transfer drum cleaner
locking motor- u will see a three pin connector with orange wires/next to it is a two pin red/black 24v connector
    i short out motor M8 engage signal/
    i use a paper clip/
make a U shape of it /cut each end at a pointed angle/
u have to measure angle length of clip because of distance depth of both connectors/
with power off-remove both connectors -push in one end of clip on outside of 24v red wire-push other end of clip into pin 3 of outside orange wire connector-
now push back in both connectors with the short clip attached

by far the machine is working. customer hasn't logged in the E0072 complain yet since my last service. And i HOPE they wont.

Just replaced another unit of Transfer cleaning Motor, The whole assembly.

                  Thanks so much Guyz...

But i was just wondering, in one of our CLC 11X0, in the Transfer Cleaning Motor, there are 3 orange wire, the 3rd wire(on the right most) is shorted directly to the color brown(5volts i suppose) -- what effect does it do or what is the purpose for that?

pin 3 on orange should be shorted to the red 24v wire on the two pin connector
both connectors are side by side/ it prevents transfer cleaning engagement when TD is engaged with Drum
