    Amen to that Karsten,
Using the foam caused as many problems for me as the little pads falling off the door did. Go right for the update parts,, you will not be sorry! As Screwtape mentioned, you have to pull cassette 1 feed assembly out of the copier to replace the grey roller. You can replace cassette 2 roller while you have #1 feed assembly out of the machine, without removing that assembly. Be sure to lube the 1-ways while you have the gear off the shaft!

I've done that mod on an iR3570 that was jamming all day every day and haven't been back to that machine for 2 months.
        AND...
I'm sitting here with the parts in front of me to go out and mod another 3570:
        FM2-0132-000:Right Lower Inner Door Assembly
        FM3-1296-000:Right Lower Door Assembly
        FC5-0567-010:PICK-UP ASSY MOUNT,U PLATE
        FC5-0641-010:SENSOR COVER
        FB6-4852-000:VERTICAL PATH ROLLER
Once that's done say goodbye to 0107/0201 jams

It seems like canon revised some the part # for these items.
Right lower door ass'y FM2-0131-030, Used to be:FM3-1296-000
Right Inner door ass'y FM2-0132-000, Used to be:FM3-1297-000

Thanks oze for bringing the Right Inner door ass'y FM2-0132-000 to my attention. For a minute i thought you was posting an incorrect part #
so, I had to checked it out and I notice that they revised both part #
for the Right lower door ass'y and Right Inner door ass'y.

            No worries at all m8...
I got lazy(see sidetracked by other jobs) and ended up turning their paper to landscape to keep them running til I do the mod tomorrow.

That assembly is not fun to remove. Thanks for your help guys.

P.S. Any of you rebuild the fusers on this series? I have replaced a couple and thought about rebuilding but does not look easy, especially the fixing film.

Once you've done the fuser rebuild a few times,it's like most fixing film related fusers, you can do it in your sleep.
The only real tricky part is to make sure that you line the teeth up on the pressure release levers.
Average time for a rebuild is around 45mins.

                    Hello,

The sleeves are different, the iR22/3300 (FG6-6041-120(230V) and FG6-6039-000(120V)) have a few but slight differences to the xx70/30xx models:

                    FM2-0358-000 (120V) 3025/2270/2870
                    FM2-0359-000 (230V) 3025/2270/2870
                    FM2-1793-010 (120V) 3035/3045/3570/4570
                    FM2-1812-010 (230V) 3035/3045/3570/4570

Mainly the differences are in the materials used due to a change in the timings etc. of the 'on demand' way in which the fixing assy operates.

Oze is right when he says once you have done a few it becomes second nature, just allow a little time to do them and as he says make sure the teeth match up when you put it back together as they were when you take them apart (a perminant marker helps there), and most importantlly ensure the brass connector is screwed into place as it can come into contact with the rest of the fuser assy and cause it to short. If you are lucky it cause the electrics to trip and a new fuse req. for the plug other wise you are looking at all sorts of trouble

                      iR-4570 intermittent jam

I know that posting has been going on for a while. But. Here is a recent solution I have just found for right door jams (especially intermittent ones) with sheets jammed everywhere before and into fusing unit. Are you getting copy folded into a Z? After removing fusing unit, try rotating by hand. If particularly stiff, there you are. Open fusing unit, remove that heat sleeve very carefully, cause it is so easy to shear, clean inside and ceramic unit as well with a dry cloth and put fresh new fusing (white) GREASE on the heat assembly. Get everything back together. Rotate gently to get that new grease spread.
Also check for the magnet that hold R. door. Mine was getting off. Door would not close properly. Try it.

                          IKON Tech,s

As an Ikon Tech, We are using alot of Katun Parts, and We all just use the 29129 Film Only, For E-007 or CQ-Jamming issues. This film is compatable with the Ir2200-3300 and Ir2270-3570 series machines, and the newest series as well. The film just takes a couple more minutes to change than the assy, and is so much less expensive that We can stay within budget.

As long as we change the cleaning roller at the same time, and lube the inside of film, these seem to last just as long as the OEM assemblies.

When We were a Canon dealer, We only did the assemblies.
