Check to see if the end-user has installed the staple cartridge backwards into the stapler unit. The stapler may be trying to advance the staples, but cannot if the cartridge is installed incorrectly.

    check your stapler position
In service mode , is the finisher indicated on the menu.
Disassemble the finisher interface connector where it plugs into the quick connect at the main (copier) unit. The plug can back out of the connector causing mis-communication between the copier and the finisher

      Hi Teckat

how do i get in the service mode to check if the finisher indicated on the menu? on the screen of the copier there is finisher showing there but, staples is not showing and was showing before but only 2 sets of pins remaining in there maybe that could be the problem.

      thanks

Starting Service Mode and Selecting an Item
        1) Press the asterisk key "*" on the control panel.
        2) Press "2" and "8" on the keypad at the same time.
        3) Press the asterisk key "*" on the control panel.

The above operations bring up the Initial screen below
