    Imagerunner advanced 9070 holepunch

    Hi chaps,installed an ira 9070 with hole punch bg1Last night and the m/c is asking for the hole waste To be emptied .any ideas ?

    sensor in waste tray no good, or some of the chads blocking the sensor. The plastic waste container gets Static and the waste sometimes does not fall down but gets attracted to the side.
    also double check if you attached the sensor connector.

    There is a mod for that static problem now

      Thanks for the speedy reply.the sensor has been refitted and the pcb reconnectedBut no luck.it's a brand new unit .maybe I'll enlarge the holes the light shines through as I've nothing to loose.I'm going back in there today as we have about another 60 m/cs to install but none with hole punches

        somewhere beside the upper right of the punch controller, there ia a 2 or 3 pin grey wire which tends to be forgotten.

          Wich model of puncher do you have?This symptom occurs when the static electricity of the dust box assembly reaches high level.
          90 % issues in this case you can solved with new dust box like Vigour say.

            Found the problem,workshop engineer had not put the plate on that the waste tray pushes into at the rear of the holepunch unit

              oh yeah I forgot that small end plate once.
              what a pain to put it in.

                I'll make sure he doesn't forget again Just packed out the base with some foam to raise it up a tadSo it works for now .do the 140 mile round trip on Monday to pick up the bracket and kick the workshop eng in the nuts
