1 1/2 million on the drum.

I will have my service person look at everything that was mention here and see what happens. I will know more and report back on this topic next week, for the person won't be here until the weekend...

    Good thing I have a 8500 also...

    Thanks again
    Ken

at 1.5 million it would be a good idea to pull the drum from the AP unit and clean the ends up of all the build up that has occurred then polish the drum surface. I would install a new blade as well.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

If it only happens on the second side I doubt it's dev unit or fixing. Sounds like sep/trans settings for two sided. Possibly enviromental, but that would probably affect the first side too. When the paper has trouble separating from the drum it can cause that type of fading. It can happen to the lead or trail, but that is usually a lead edge issue. In service mode, adjustments>Tranfer>TR_N2 and separation SP_N2. The pre-transfer can also affect how well the page separates from the drum. If he works for a dealership he should have the manuals and should go through his adjustments. And I hope his boss doesn't find out he is moonlighting as a competitor.
