    Canon GP-200

Hello all, Have a customer that has a Canon GP-200 with a E-240 error code. I know the machine is a little long in the tooth hoping to upgrade soon. Any ideas on where I can start to trouble shoot. I have read that it might be in the DC controller PWB. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks Bruno,

    composite power supply

not trying to be funny here, but fuse FU2 on the dc controller, if its blown (open) then the composite power supply is probably at fault. Check pin 4 of J101 on the dc controller pcb for +24 volts. If it's not there then the composite is at fault.
I forgot to first check your line voltage and ground to neutral. 1 volt max at ground to neutral. Also check with the finisher unhooked, i have heard problem code same. Reseat the IP pcb to expansion board. If its the finisher, clean all sensors.

Thanks I will try that today. I thought I looked for a fuse on the DC pwb,I will look again.
Hey thanks for the speedy response.

I checked the database: The only entry says "check system software". That's sure a lot cheaper to try than a composite power supply (but less likely).
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
