    Canon iRC5035i copy quality issue

Hi, does anyone know how to get rid of the small cymk horzontal and diagonal lines i am getting on a Canon iRC5035i as attached image shows them? These repeat in the same place each time, is it a security feature?

    Thanks,
    Warbay

Its not a security feature the transfer cleaning blade is not doing its job.

You would be better off posting this or asking a Mod to move this to the Canon forum.

Hi, thanks for your quick response i will check the transfer cleaning blade, however i do not think that would leave the uniform cmyk lines on the pages, but i will check just in case.

Please can you tell me how to post this query or what does Mod mean (Manufacturer of device??)?

The marks are actually image registration marks that the machine uses for aligning the colors. It appears that your cleaner assembly isn't touching the belt at all or your machine is printing the alignment patch with your copies....either way you have some work to do.

Pull the ITB and check the blade assembly to see that it putting pressure on the blade. If it is report back and let us know because your problem is not mechanical.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

          Hi,

Thanks very much, you pointed me in the right direction.....the transfer cleaning unit was completely removed (robbed previously!) by another engineer, but as i didn't know what i was looking for until you mentioned the cleaning unit, thanks.

I have now replaced the cleaning unit an calibrated the colours etc and all is fine.

          regards
