    [CQ] Canon IWMC 3.0.2

    Hi everyone,

    I need a bit help.
I am looking for a plugin for Canon IWMC 3.0.2 wich can follow the copy, print (color/BW) which made by ID code.
I have found the 4 basic plugins (Address Book Management, Printer Driver Management, RDS, Resource Management).
Is there somewhere more plugins because this problem I should to solve.
I have heard about the RDS can follow the ID made jobs. Is this truth?

    Thanks for help.

Department ID Management settings available using the Remote UI are the same as
those that you can access from the control panel of the machine by pressing
(Additional Functions) [System Settings] [Dept. ID Management].

To specify Department ID Management settings, click [Settings] specify the desired settings on the Department ID Management Settings screen click [OK].
Details of each item are shown below.
          Enable Department ID Management:
If this check box is selected, Department ID Management is enabled. When Department ID Management is enabled, the user must enter the Department ID to be able to use functions, such as the Copy and Send functions. (This enables you to keep track of the total number of prints by department and set
impression limits.) In addition, when Department ID Management is enabled, the user must enter the Department ID and password to be able to execute jobs and perform
          operations on in boxes.
If the optional Card Reader-C1 is attached, this check box does not appear.
Limit Functions: This setting enables you to select the function for which you want to set Department ID Management. If this check box is selected, Department ID Management is set for all functions. If
this check box is not selected, Department ID Management is set for the Print function only.
Allow Black Print Jobs with Unknown IDs:
Select this check box to enable printing for computers that use printer drivers that do not support Department ID Management. If this check box is not selected, only computers
with printer drivers that support Department ID Management can print.
Allow Remote Scan Jobs with Unknown IDs:
Select this check box to enable remote scanning for computers that use printer drivers that do not support
Department ID Management. If this check box is not selected, only computers with printer drivers that support Department ID Management can perform remote scanning.
Clear All Counts: Click this button to reset the counter to zero for all departments.

To register a new department, click [*] (Register New Department) specify the necessary fields on the Register New Department screen click [OK].
Department ID: Enter a number (seven digits maximum).
Password: Enter a number (seven digits maximum).
Confirm: Enter the password again. If the number you enter here is different from the number entered for [Password], an error dialog box appears.
Page Limits: Enter the maximum number of prints the department is allowed to make.
If the optional Card Reader-C1 is attached, you cannot register a new department.
          <Total Print Limit> is the sum of <Copy Limit> and <Print Limit>.

            Re: Canon IWMC 3.0.2

            Hi!

That's clear but this option can use on Multifunction device directly or RUI.
My problem is the IWMC is able to follow or reporting 700 Canon multifunction devices print, copy etc.
Now the emaintenance customer site ID department export to csv function the solution.
There is a Master MFD and 699 host. Tha main ID codes just change on this Master machine and dubbing every 4 hours the more machines.
Tha main problem follow and make a riport about every MFD-s Department ID.

I will reply your mail on tomorrow.

            Thanks a lot.

              Re: Canon IWMC 3.0.2

You do not need to add an RDS ID. All of the Canon devices that currently support imageWARE Remote use 'Embedded RDS'.
              RDS1.jpg
You must select [Yes] for the 'Embedded RDS' option when registering a device for imageWARE Remote. Once this is selected and the web page refreshes itself, you will see that the 'RDS ID' option is grayed out.

You do not need to manually specify an RDS ID when using Embedded RDS, as the RDS capability is built into the Canon device. There is no separate RDS device required.
              eRDS1.jpg

Activating the e-RDS on a Canon device for imageWARE Remote

Network Settings in the Canon device must be properly configured with all of the following :

              - IP Address Settings (including the correct IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address settings).
              - DNS Server Settings.
              - Proxy Settings (if necessary).
              - SNTP Settings. (can use TIME.NIST.GOV). Some customers such as hospitals, state/local or government agencies may have their own SNTP time servers and may not permit the use of other third party SNTP servers, in those cases ask the IT dept for the correct SNTP server to use within their organization.
To activate eRDS (on most supported models):
              1. Enter Service Mode (press Additional Functions, 2 and 8 simultaneously, then Additional Functions).
              2. Select Copier > Function > Install.
              3. Set eRDS to 1, then press OK.
              ERDS.jpg

              To activate e-RDS (imageRUNNER 2016 / 2020 / 1023 / 1025 models):

              1. Enter Service Mode (press Additional Functions, then 2, then 8, then Additional Functions).
              2. Press the right or left arrow repeatedly to scroll to '# E-RDS'. press OK.
              3. Scroll to 'E-RDS SWITCH'. press OK.
              4. Set '001' to a value of 1 (default = 0) to activate eRDS. press OK.
The default e-RDS Service Mode settings should not be changed (see the screen shot above):
              RGW-PORT = 443 (SSL protocol)
              RGW-ADR = https://a01.ugwdevice.net/ugw/agentif010

The information from the Canon device, will only be collected by imageWARE Remote, when the following requirements are completed by the dealer:

              1. The Canon device must be registered in imageWARE Remote (on the UGW - Universal Gateway Server).
              2. A successful COM-TEST must be performed from the Canon device at the customer site, in order to confirm that the device is properly able to access to the UGW server from the customer site.

Port that must be enabled or opened for imageWARE Remote to function--
The port number is 443. Verify that port 443 is not being filtered on the network (ex. Firewall).
*****if you have an imageRUNNER that is connected to a Fiery controller (ex. imagePASS), you will not need to complete any extra port configurations on the Fiery controller.

                Re: Canon IWMC 3.0.2

                Hi

I am an engineer at Canon dealer company. The UGW config is no problem.

I have done the next steps:

                1. I have Switched on the e-rds option on iR 2270
                2. COM TEST (ok)
                3. IWMC install and configures
                4. upload the RDS Plugin into the IWMC and set up
                5. connected the ir 2270 with the iwmc succesfully.

My customer export the department id color and BW print copy scan etc. on customer portal. ( https://ugwportal.net/c/indexENG.html )

I have a question the IWMC is able to collect and reporting the last week/month Department ID jobs or not?

Do you have some idea how can I collect the ID autenticated jobs?

                Thanks

                  Re: Canon IWMC 3.0.2

Or the RDS plugin use only in case of RDS agent?

I can see the ID code identified jobs on UGW server and the customer able to follow on customer site.
But actually my customer can export only csv form from customer site and He is edit a riport from this csv file.

                  Thanks
