    [Misc] Help In secure printing

    Hello all
This is my first post in this Forum.
I Have this canon printer 2520 at work and I need to restrict the printing to a number of employees, I know one way of doing so and that is by a Username and Password. However my Boss doesn't like that and he asked me to make a PIN CODE process, Is that possible in canon 2520 with or without a third party installation?
    Please do help me.

The secure print asks for a username and a password I want to be asked to enter a pincode only.

In user settings check for department ID settings.

when using dept ID, password can be left blank, so you only need to remember one number, just like your pincode

pincode is the fax equivalent of department ID

Thank you all for the replies. I truely appreciate it
Here is the thing, I work at a school and Im doing this PINCODE thing for the students here where each student has his own pincode with a limited number of printed pages and that he uses everytime he wants to print.
However I want one area to appear on the screen because if I ask them to leave the password area blank they will start asking questions like which one is the password area and, I dont know, they come up with creative questions, I just do not want to open a door. =(

I'm thinking there might be a third party program that I might need to install, the question is where from?

Write a simple description of what to do, post 1 by the copier, give each one a copy.
They are in School to LEARN and follow instructions. THIS IS A SIMPLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE. It will help them in the real world.

IF the school has less than 100 students, you setup a Mailbox with password for each student.

If you want to make money, check UNIFLOW, or EQuitrac.
Canon has similar solutions, but i am not sure what goes on that model

You can protect the machine from unauthorized access by setting Department ID Management.
If Department ID Management is enabled, only the users who enter the correct Department ID and password can gain access to the machine.
