My machine gives me Error E000061-0001 and after 8-10 attempts of clearing error, the error goes, and the copy quality is worrying, it is faint on one side and dark on other side, can any one help me, can email me at shaikh.faiz@gmail.com
first check the primary corona assy. are the corona wires in the proper place on the the little end blocks in the proper groove. they should be in the groove thats closets to the grid wire the wire on top of the unit. Both ends of the corona wire, should be in that top groove, not one on top and the other on the bottom. )61 is a laser code, or should say potential voltage on the drum. Since it is not equal both sides, one side being darker, sounds like the corona wire is out of place. If that doesn't get it then let us know.
Uneven density..yeah check primary and also make sure laser shutter is opening fully or "seal glass" is clean(this is glass strip that laser beam passes through)...What are Vd and Vl if these don't fix it?
you need to go into service mode and check the VD and Vl as Canuck suggested so we know what the machine is seeing and basing its error code on. This tells us if the drum is being charged with the primary and discharged with the laser. We can come closer to pinpointing problem.
Also check the wires for erasing lamp (LED array) on AP kit, and also check the long black screw that fix a small piece of metal that engage the drum with the shaft.
i forgot what machine you are working on. can you print a test print from the the service mode? What does it look like? Ok I just got a brain fart. I know what it is. its the developer unit. Check out the dev roller, I'll bet its shot, the ability to hold toner is gone. If there is a coating on the roller, bet its gone.
