Good day, I have facing problem on Ir 2318 about the scanning. It cannot be scanned on A3 size but on A4 it works. Is there any settings need to do here. thank you.

In addition for this issue, although the A3 size is already set on the software scanner which is scan gear, still scanning on A3 was not working, we already try this into 4 machines (IR2318) same problem was occured.please give advice on this matter. thanks in advance -

for SCANNING ON GLASS
check the Copyboard open/close Cover Sensor
Check the setting of COPIER>OPTION>BODY>SENS-CNF in Service Mode
Use it to set the arrangement of the original sensors.
Settings 0: AB-configuration (default, 1: Inch-configuration, 2: A-configuration)
Caution If you have changed the arrangement of the original sensors, select the appropriate
setting to suit the new arrangement.
The machine identifies the size of originals in the following two steps:
[1] Detecting External Light (main scanning direction only)
While keeping the scanning lamp off, the CCD level at each point of detection in main
scanning direction is measured. A point at which external light is detected will be identified
as indicating the absence of an original, enabling the identification of the width
of an original.
[2] Detecting the Sensor Output Level
The scanning lamp is turned on, and the CCD level at each point of detection in main
scanning direction is measured. In addition, the reflection type photo-sensor in sub
scanning direction is turned on to measure the sensor output.
The combination of these output measurements is used to identify the size of the original.
For DADF USE BELOW
document width sensor-A3/ #1=ON/#2=ON
document length sensors-A3/#1=ON/#2=ON
document width sensor-A4/#1=ON/#2=ON
document length sensors-A4/#1=OFF/#2=OFF
COPIER>OPTION>BODY>SCANSLCT
Use it to enable or disable the original size detection mechanism for the
ADF.
• When enabled, the scan size is determined in relation to the original
size.
Settings 0: off (default), 1: on

- thank you for this info.I will check it later. Sir how come that A3 scanning is not working, because all 4 machines that I check was all brand new machines fresh coming from the box and no DADF installed, only cover. Just only asking, hope you don't mind. In addition to this if you make copy on A3 it is working,but if im gonna make use a scan gear tool on computer, its not working.still willing to wait your answer.Comment

Ok ! so when u place a doc on the glass it selects the correct size when u hit print button-
so when u Scan a doc on glass through the PC , this is when u have the issue of wrong size not being able to choose in Scangear ????
what ver. of Scangear did u download ???

we already use a scan gear versions 2.61 and 2.71. we also use different adobe writer photoshop and microsoft photo viewer.Comment

- ah ok? so we thought all paper sizes will work on color network scan gear, because A4 size is working on color network scangear. thank you for this information sir, we will try to download this version, we will give you feedback once this problem was resolved. thank you very much sir!!!Comment

The Colour Netgear Scan driver is the correct one to use as the ir2318 has a colour scanner. With A3 size paper, the maximum resolution possible is 300dpi on sending, however it is 600dpi on copying. Make sure that your resolution is set to 300 or lower and testComment

the exact model was IR 2318 that;s why we are confused about the scanning. on specs it is supported by color network but only A4 was working although we use A3 size. V2.71 that is version we are trying to use but still no effect on scanning, is there any settings we should do?Comment
