    Canon IR-C6800 Display not showing

    Hi Everyone,

I have a Canon IR-C6800 that the display is showing blank (nothing shows). The copier seem to warm up and everything, but can't know for sure. I checked all the connector and everything seem to be ok. I interchange the display panel with another copier to see and still the same.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks,
    Rad

The green power light is on in the panel, but the display is blank or black. Already checked and change the 512 memory and nothing.

      What else can it be?

        Alexctx,

I turn off machine and turned back on pressing 2+8 and I was able to see the Download Mode message in the display. Can it be firmware problem what is happening.

Do you have the firmware of this Canon IR-C6800?

        Please advise.

        Thxs,
        Rad

Check if your Fixing unit is HOT & Goes In Rotation !!!
confirmed that the 3VDC remote at J122 pin 2 on the DC Power Supply Relay is present.
make sure connector J144 on the DC Power Supply PCB is seated firm

          FROM CANON TECH PUB BELOW-------------------------------------
If The ImageRUNNER does not cycle or rotate.
Check if remote signal is present at J122 on the DC Power Supply Relay. J122 pin 2 should be about 3.3V. The 3.3V supplied to J122 on the DC Power Supply Relay Pcb comes from the Main Controller at J1203. After verifying the output from J1203, it was discovered that a break in the wiring from J1203 on the Main to J122 on the DC Power Supply Relay Pcb was the cause of the problem. A bent pin was found in the intermediate connector,(J1202).
          Intermediate Connector J1202 VS1-7173-000

Controller Control cable ( from J1203 on the Main to J1202 ) FM2-0914-000

Note: At this time there is no listing for the cable from J1202, to J122 on the DC Power Supply Relay Pcb.

          if OK !!
          check this--------------
Check the DC Power Supply for 24 volt output, if the 24 volts is missing, check for 3.3 volts output on J152 pins 1 and 2 of the DC/DC Converter PCB 1.
If the 3.3 volts is not present at J152, try replacing the DC/DC Converter PCB 1 (part number: FM2-0832-000). Note: J152 is listed as J252 on the General Circuit Diagram.
