Hi guys.I have an ir 3035 that is jamming in duplex.what happen is that after the first side is printed and the paper is coming up to the drum to print the second side the paper gets caught in the drum unit.when I use fresh paper it works fine.The paper being used is recycled paper made from ecf pulp(elemental chlorine free).If the paper is in the paper tray for only afew hours without being used it can jam and you can see any copies that do come out have a curl in them.Is this copier particulary sensitive to recycled paper?.Also does recycled paper tend to absorb moisture quicker or react poorly to moisture in a shorter space of time than better quality paper.Is the canon paper any good as I will advise customer to get some if it helps matters.The paper being used is 80 gram.cheers!!

u can register Recycled Paper location in control panel in-
User Mode>Common Settings

also in service mode>>>>>>>>>
COPIER > ADJUST > HV-TR
TR-SPP Entering an output adjustment value for thick-paper transfer bias (for simplex printing on thick paper and duplex printing on the 1/2 side)
- Increasing the value is very effective.

Machine Environment/ How paper is cut from bolt(direction)/Interior Static charges/Print %Coverage/
All effect paper----

Plain and Recycled paper are from 17 to 24 lb bond (64 to 90 g/m2).

Recycled*
Load paper heavier than 20 lb bond (81 g/m2) in
the stack bypass

and adjust the service mode the data is no use.

You can try this improved package.

Not seen these modified parts, looks like you just ft them to the drum, are they available from Canon??????

Yes ,

This is a self-developed in China.
From IR3045's ~ iR3245's the photosensitive drum unit track,
This has been set aside space for the modified parts.

Yes the real fix is quality paper to fight the humidity in the air. Setting up the machine for a humid environment will help too.

check display/ analog / humidity. What is the percent humdity 45% or more? will cause duplex jams.

we have the same issue on these machines but the customer is using good paper. Its xerox a3 paper. the jams only seem to appear on a3 at the minute. cant seem to see why.....put fresh paper in the machine and it works for sometime only a couple of hours then starts jamming again (A3).

can you order those drum mod bits direct from canon? cant seem to find anything about them?!

havent checked the humidity but will check next time im on site but the office isnt anything out of the ordinary...maybe slightly on the warm side (as the woman said...its cozy!!!)

Seen this many times on this series. The only reliable way is to run the machine on 100GSM, the thicker paper doesn't curl on the first side so doesn't catch & jam in the fuser or drum

I m having same problem in my ir3045n paper curl everytime I copy and it jam when print both side I do cheap photocopy bcoz of other competitors so I can't use thick paper it cost a lot so please if anyone give me the advise how can I prevent paper being curl.. .

im facing a jam 107 unable to solve , i replaced drum,right door, pickup untis,update the firmware to 22.0,used paper 80 grm and still facing the problem .

but the weird that the paper stuck under the grey roller loctaed in the right door its cruled inside it.
