    CLC 1180 RIP problem

    Guys i have problem with my RIP at Canon CLC1180, problem is that he is dead so can u give me some proposal for solution of this problem, can i install new system (and how and where to get system) if is HDD problem or can i buy other rip,and offcourse does any other rip can be instaled on same machine from other brands?

      First off what model Colorpass do you have?

      You say it is dead. Do you have power inside the unit going to all of your motherboard and peripherals? It could be a power supply issue

      If it just not booting and loading then yes you could have a bad HDD or it might need reloading.
      Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

          Cual es el modelo de su servidor y a que se refiere con muerto. No enciende nada? O enciende pero no carga o sale algun mensaje?

                  I am work with clc 1180 and colorpass for many year, i can help if you explain better the problem.

                      Some of the mentioned controllers have bulletins about new power Supply Unit.


                      Probably have a new rip already.

                          Affected RIP are Z40e and Z400e, whereby their power supply switch have poor soldering joints problem. This causes the power to be intermittent OFF and then ON. As these RIPs OS are NT-embedded, this cause havoc to it. Could try and strip out the power supply and get the ON/OFF switch replace and give it a proper soldering.

                          Z500e is affected as it power supply is different and chance of it WinXP-embedded corrupted is low.
