ir4570 server not located

pinged server, all ok,trying to send to file on one touch. computer servers name server. domain WORKGROUP,when i program one touch host name //server. file L:FAXES then user_name I get unable to locate server or server not found something like that what am i doing wrong. universal print kit is licensed. I believe its something I'm missing in programming one touch.Customer is happy because machine wasn't working at all before i replaced main controller,was intermittently powering on @ off by itself. can't print out user print because old board wouldn't give me time too. everything works now except scannig to file. Any suggestions ,ty kevin

Think your file path specify might be wrong. it should be :

\\server\SharedFolder

Settings for "File" can leave blank unless you need to send it the sub-folder of "SharedFolder"

You don't need scan gear if you have send kit installed.

- Reset server.
- Check server status and settings.

maybe your dns setting is wrong/not exist, so this does not work with names. Type the ip Adress instead, what happens?

Hi, im sorry to post here about the manual since this thread is running may i ask for the part manual of ir4570? Its really hard to order somethings from supplier since everytime they are asking for part number for certain parts. But curious thing is we having difficulty for requesting the part manual from them, i dont even know why since we bought that machines and parts from them. Thanks

Check DNS or proxy maybe.

Try to set on dhcp,restart the printer,turn off dhcp and manually turn back existing IP adress.

If you have properly installed network settings,you don't need password for browsing for files.

i am not sure, if you are right, zoraldinho, maybe he need to enter username and password of the server, to go further with browsing.

My bad with words.Thanks Hermann.For browsing servers and not files.If you won't see files,need password.
