    [Misc] Canon IRA 2030i internal finisher

    Hello

    I have a strange problem, I have fitted an internal finisher to an IRA 2030i; It will do output 75 pages, then asks for the paper to be removed.

    I have checked the specifications and it should do 750 pages output to the finishing tray.

    I have taken a look at the settings on the admin browser / on the copier, but cant see anything obvious.

    Is there something I need to enable in service mode?

    As always thanks for the advice

      Thanks for replying;

      I put together a Canon 2030i with an ADF and internal finisher with an additional paper tray.

      As far as I remember I did'nt remember the sensor flags, the instructions said this was regarding a 3 way unit.

      Are you saying they do need to be removed, is that why is it only accepting 75 pages?

      Fairly new here, thanks for your help

        Both the upper and lower sensors need to be removed.

            It is fitted with the C1 internal finisher, no additional A1 tray.

              I would pull the finisher back out and make sure that the sensor flags have been removed. I am shocked that it would be running with them still in the machine and you would have had a difficult time inserting the finisher in the machine as well.

              Did your finisher come with installation instructions?

                Yes, to be fair it would be my own fault, there was some confusion in the instructions were it specifies if a 3 way device is used.

                    I will check the sensor flag and the service mode in tray setting.

                    Thanks

                        Hello

                        I have visited the client, took the finisher out, no sensor flag as suspected.

                        I have verified in service mode both in tray and out tray are selected to 1 and I can see the extra options in fuction settings.

                        But it will only print 100 pages to the finishing tray, then asks to remove the paper.

                        The specifications does say 750 pages output.

                        Is there a setting or configuration change anyone knows that dictates output?

                        I have called Canon helpdesk, but they didnt help me too much...

                        Thanks

                            I have checked all of this, a colleague pointed me to a possible explanation;

                            The client is using stapling, the copier will output 35 sets and then ask for the paper to be removed;

                            It has been pointed out to me that canon copiers *presume* that there is the maximum of 30 sheets per staple.

                            30 sheets x 35 sets = 750 pages.

                            Can anyone else verify this fact, Canon copiers presume every staple has 30 pages?

                            Thanks

                              Inner Finisher-C1*Corner and double stapling up to 50 sheets

                              * 450-sheet capacity when Inner Finisher Additional Tray-A1 is attached.
