    IR 2270 scan to folder

    So I set up a shared scan folder on a PC. Got it's host name and password. Go to the Canon and put in the Host name, Path, user and password. It would not go through under FTP. It does go through sending it as Windows SMB.

    But, when I go to the folder and open it as a pdf it is all gobble dee gook.


    nevermind....

    I just fixed the problem as I typed this. The goble dee gook looked like /html/meta/hieght... I realized I was opening up with browser. I did a right click open with Adobe and it is perfect.

          FTP is not name based, it is ip based. Remove the name and enter the ip of destination and you are done
